Coldplay - 'Violet Hill': Stadium rockers start to experiment

So the new Coldplay single has been released as a free download – something that would have caused a palaver if Radiohead didn’t exist - and has promptly sent people in a spin. Not because of it’s release, but more because, for Coldplay, ‘Violet Hill’, is a pretty experimental track. The guitars are distorted and the chorus, well, doesn’t really exist. What do you think?
